The Alternate Survivor
I heard Sue Pollard speak today at the HRASM luncheon. She has nearly qualified for three separate reality shows, but always and only as the first alternate. Her book, The Alternate Ultimate Survivor tells the tales of her trials, tribulations, near misses, and lessons learned. It is now in my library.
My takeaways include her quotes, “I can do this” and “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” Both quotes I can learn from. I know much, need to know who more.
Also during this meeting, I was recognized for my SPHR and may have decided on my HR blog name.
