Five Great Places to Eat
We spent Monday through Friday going to, in & leaving Rockland while attending the Maine HR Convention. See the Maine HR Cafe for topical reflections. Every night was a dinner excursion out with unique experiences.
Monday: On the way up, Moody’s Diner in Waldoboro – the Maine Classic. Food for the common man. Nothing fancy, no ostentatiousness, just a great place to stop and replenish.
Tuesday: The Boathouse Restaurant and Raw Bar in Rockland. Fabulous food, friendly service, phenomenal ambiance, and spot on pricing. I’ll Be Back.
Wednesday: Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Rockport. An always favorite. So good, our nephew was there as well. (Working out of town with a crew on a local reconstruction project.) Throw your peanut shells on the floor, have another great drink and enjoy where you are.
Thursday: Park Street Grille in Rockland. Genre – home made Mexican food. Easily, one of the best Mexican places in Maine. A gem of great food, funky ambiance with the friendliest service around. Been here before, will be here again.
Friday: Red’s Eats in Wiscasset. Easily and hands down – Maine’s BEST LOBSTER ROLL. On the way there, I argued for second best, wanting to save first for my more local favorite. That was not to be. Red’s Eats simply does have the best lobster roll in Maine. Claws sticking out either end of the nearly hidden hot dog roll, smothered with lobster meat chunks, and covered with the split tail meat. The fried zuchini was awesome as well. We Will Be Back.
