Photographers capture moments. Painters create moments. Both compose. That being said, travel photography is constrained by the pace of the moment, hoping that the composition is good.

My equipment list:
Nikon D300 body (note: link is to the model upgrade)
Primary lens: Nikkor 18-200mm F 3.5-5.6
Tertiary lens: Nikkor 18-55mm F 3.5-5.6 (rarely used)

Telephoto lens: Sigma 150-500mm F 5-6.3
Two tripods.
Two monopoles
No secondary flash
Two camera bags
National Geographic NG25 Earth Explorer
Think Tank Streetwalker Hard Drive
30 something GB of CF cards (digital film)
