I’m no longer on the unseen list. The TSA list identifying my name as one of concern requiring scrutiny. The scrutiny that prevented me from online checking without saying so. Instead, at least the firstime, two years ago, I was on my way overseas and met silence when trying to determine the reason for preboarding checkin denial. Once figured out, accepted the new reality.
Then there were the episodes of redirection from the kiosk to the counter, as per current existing protocols. The counter clerks, per training, redirected me to the kiosk and with my eventual return to the counter. Exasperating reality. But there was still always hope.
Last week, hope became reality. But, reality can be tenuous, fluid, devolving.
