The Great Divide

_DSC2929.JPG

Todays’s WordPress Daily Post challenge addresses The Great Divide is the chasm between fiction & nonfiction reading. Which one calls out to you?

There are many reading (& writing) genres out there. But this one is top level division between reality (non-fiction) & ideality (fiction).

Sometimes, yesterday’s ideality becomes today’s reality. Think Star Trek. Today’s smart devices (phones & tablets) are yesterday’s handheld communicators. I’m still holding out for the transporter & then warp drive.

I read more non-fiction than fiction. Prefer business, leadership & historical fiction. But lately, that has become wearisome toil & turmoil. So last week, I exited to a lunch walkabout at a local bookstore. See Friday’s post The Ten Minute Challenge for further details. [oops – same picture]Long story short, I reached out to buy a collection of Science Fiction short stories – Twelve Tomorrows.
