This was the highlight of the weekend. This fellow showed up on the windowsill, not three feet away. I had just finished snowblowing, was having a cup of coffee and then was going to fill the bird feeders. the cell phone was picked up with care, and a few discrete shots were taken.
Backstory: Several years ago, there a nesting pair showed up and stayed until this past September. Then, the feeders went empty while I was out of town for longer than awhile. I was sad to come home and find them gone. But they have to go to where the reliable food is.
The food is now out and a pair is back to join the wildlife feeder family. Red & gray squirrels, turkeys, blue jays, mourning doves, tufted titmouse and chickadees.
From the house at edge of the forest.
